EATING DISORDER

This heartbreaking disease is a real terror to the quality of life for people of any age. Whether it’s ARFID, OSFED, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Anorexia or Bulimia. Counseling someone with an eating disorder is a complex, but rewarding task. However, it should never be done by yourself alone! In this course we provide insight into the diversity of eating disorders and what you can (or cannot) do in certain situations. This course is a great tool to understand your customers more or to understand yourself more. In 3 days (courses are always on Saturdays, from 13:00-18:00) we guide you to become a better care provider for clients. Or we help you as an enthusiastic student to better understand yourself or your loved ones. You will receive information about:

  • types of eating disorders in the DSM-V;
  • type of eating disorders that may or may not be included in the DSM-V;
  • refeeding syndrome and how to stabilize it;
  • extreme hunger
  • fear foods and how to reintroduce them;
  • sports addiction (and how to stop it);
  • how to build a feeding schedule;
  • Minniemaud method;
  • how to deal with stubborn customers;
  • conversational skills;
  • obtaining a normal protein intake;
  • parenting style;
  • body dysmorphism;
  • Weigh or not weigh a customer?;
  • Attachment styles;
  • multidisciplinary collaboration.
